As the co-founder and CEO of Flower Labs—the organization behind Flower, the world’s leading open-source platform for federated learning—he is dedicated to building AI that can be deployed securely, scalably, and responsibly on sensitive and decentralized data.

Before founding Flower Labs, he began his PhD in machine learning and federated learning at the University of Cambridge. This research gave rise to Flower, which has evolved from an academic initiative into the world’s most widely used enterprise platform for federated AI in businesses and research institutions.

His work focuses on the question of how to develop the next generation of AI systems—built from the ground up to be distributed, privacy-preserving, and inherently cooperative.
