Dr. Ana Ilievska

is a professor of literature and cultural studies with a focus on humanism, technology, and critical thinking in the age of AI. Her research examines how the interaction between humans and artificial intelligence gives rise to new forms of community, thinking, and cultural understanding.

Born in 1986 in the former Yugoslavia, Dr. Ilievska received her doctorate from the University of Chicago and subsequently taught at Stanford University. Today, she teaches as an assistant professor at the American University of Beirut-Mediterraneo, combining AI literacy, philosophy, and literature in her teaching. Previously, she worked at the University of Tübingen, Yale University, and the University of Bonn, among others. Her work bridges the gap between the humanities and technology by showing how AI can become not only a tool, but also a partner in thinking and design.

With her interdisciplinary approach, Ilievska advocates for a new understanding of coexistence in the digital age and a future in which humans and machines share responsibility.
