In his role, he is responsible for the company’s technological direction and spearheads groundbreaking innovations in construction, energy, and building services engineering. One of his central projects is the SmartCity in Harsefeld, an energy-self-sufficient residential quarter serving as a real-world laboratory for sustainable energy supply, intelligent energy management, and neighborhood solutions in the context of the energy transition. The project was presented at the invitation of the UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow as an example of climate-friendly neighborhood development.
Under his leadership, Viebrockhaus consistently utilizes state-of-the-art technologies—including high-efficiency heat pumps, photovoltaic systems with intelligent networking, and digital smart home functions for comfortable and efficient building use. With his vision, Sebastian Klare actively helps shape the transformation of construction toward sustainable, networked, and future-proof living and energy concepts, combining technological progress with practical feasibility.
