After graduating from the German School of Journalism, Simone Salden started as an online editor at faz.net before moving to the SPIEGEL office in Frankfurt in 2006 as a correspondent for the Germany department. From 2014 to 2019, she wrote for the business department, and in 2016 she moved to SPIEGEL headquarters in Hamburg. Starting in May 2019, she was Deputy Head of the Germany/Panorama department of the news magazine.
